what up people. i want to share with you some beautiful music. this is one of my new favorite bands at the moment. i've been bumpin them on my ipod and in my car for the past couple months now. they are called the Simple Citizens. a southern california band from san fernando valley, they blend jazz/funk/soul/hiphop/reggae/bossanova and everything else in between. simply amazing. they just released an album in dec. of 2008. my favorite song off of it right now is this song "cancao para meu coracao", which roughly translates to "song for my heart" ( i think?). They switch of the rhythm halfway through the song to a bossa/samba beat. if you like their sound off your speakers, you'll love them more live. i'll keep you posted. lovelife =)

Have you ever talked to someone on the phone really really late at night but you didn't want to hang up? Well, this is what this song is about. This is more recent stuff, within the last year or so. The recording quality is decent considering all I used was a built-in mic and garage band on my mac. Enjoy.
